Xia Kejia, director of Qingpu district, said the project is an action Qingpu has taken to push forward its innovation development, calling for an reinforced effort to build it into an excellent project.
 
His words were echoed by Gui Enliang, chairman of the Caohejing Hi-Tech Park Development Corporation, who said Caohejing Zhaoxiang Park will play a vanguard role by using its industrial agglomeration advantages, making a positive contribution to the development of Qingpu and Zhaoxiang Town.
 
Present at the launching ceremony were Zhao Huiqin, deputy Party secretary of Qingpu district, Ni Xiangjun, deputy director of Qingpu district, Fu Xinhua, deputy director of the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization, Liu Jiaping, chairman of Lingang Group, and Yuan Guohua, president of Lingang Group.
 
As a new generation of hi-tech industrial park, Zhaoxiang Park covers an area of 32.8 hectares and costs an investment of about 10 billion yuan, said a source with the project.
 
The first phase project occupies an area of 6.4 hectares on which 277,000 square meters of seven office buildings and a commerce and office complex will be built, the source said.
 
The park will focus on innovation and strategic emerging industries by introducing national technology business incubators, enterprise accelerators and service institutions for small and medium-sized enterprises involving information technology, artificial intelligence, big data, life health, use of new technologies and materials, exhibition service and other diversified industrial structures.
